Act quickly and blot, never scrub
Fresh spills sit near the surface. Blotting with a clean, dry towel lifts liquid out of the fibers. Scrubbing does the opposite — it pushes the stain deeper and can distort the fabric weave permanently.

- Blot up as much liquid as possible first
- Work from the outside of the stain inward to avoid spreading it
- Use minimal moisture — soaking a seat invites odor problems later
- Always test any product in a hidden area first
Leather and vinyl
Leather needs gentler handling. Skip household all-purpose cleaners and anything with strong solvents; they strip protective finishes and can cause discoloration and cracking over time. A dedicated leather cleaner used sparingly is the safer route.
